Winter Themed Centerpiece

Sweater sleeves cut off and used to line candle votive jars, a snow globe scene, a slice of birch wood, some local pine cones, a white platter,  and a bronzed bird tealight holder .   Platter and bird found at thrift store and sweaters found in our old clothes closet.

Love Birds in a Jar

Rustic Wall Decor - Kitchen

Repurposed a wood crate to become a shelf .  Old window tuned down from my previous post....a little more simplistic.  Still has three glass panes that can be used as dry erase.

Repurposed Vintage Distressed Vanity

Found this awesome vanity on a virtual yard sale site.  Came already distressed and antiqued...naturally!!  Paint must be 30+ years old.  Looks great as my tv stand!

Paint Your Own Jeans!

I love the adorable printed jeans that are really popular with the tweens right now.  My daughter really wanted a pair and because she already had a closet full of jeans, we decided to be crafty and created a pair using what we already had.  A little fabric paint, a heart shape stencil made fro a piece of plastic.... and she was very happy with the results!

Wicker Chair Cushions....recovered with repurposed fabric ...a patio umbrella!

From an old Floridian floral print to denim Americana

print in less than an hour!

I hated this print....too plain and muted. Didn't match my decor. My chihuahua didn't seem to care for it either.

I had fabric that was left over from an old patio umbrella...a blue denim...weatherproof too!

Didn't feel like sewing, so I pinned it to the bottom of the cushions.

Wah Lah! Recovered a worn out body pillow with the tattered flag I just replaced. And, notice my Chi is actually interested now! :)

Pallet Wood Feature Wall...and Repurposed Window

This is my pallet feature wall in my kitchen....I'm going for the primitive , rustic look. Not finished yet though, need to fill in the gaps. I also made this window pane decor with a window pane I found at the curb. It had no glass left in it, so I found some 8 x 10 picture frames I purchased for 25 cents at a garage sale and used the glass from there. The paper behind is old folders that I didn't want to throw away because I like the pattern too much. The flowers are made with toilet paper tubes. The shelf was a find in my father in laws burn pile. I spray painted most of it cream color...and left the shelf in its scratched up peach paint color. I love it!

Thrift Store Find - Made into a Spice Rack

Thrift store find test tube jars....made into spice rack. It doesn't hold all of my spices but holds the most popular ones that I use on a daily basis.

Glass Pickle Jars Repurposed

For a short time I worked at a school cafeteria.  When these pickle jars were empty, I saved them from going into the recycling bin and recycled them myself.  I wrapped them in rope and burlap....painted the lids gray. The burlap one holds my artificial sweetener packets which aren't as "pretty" as the coffee and sugar.
